Automobile industry - It has been more than 100 years since the Ford Model T was produced.
Since then, thanks to ceaseless technological innovation and development of social infrastructures, we have obtained great convenience. Unfortunately, however, we have paid various costs in the world such as deterioration of global environment or the increase of transportation disadvantaged people.

On the other hand, it is necessary to create "safe and eco-friendly car society" as well as to pursue more convenience for the next 100 years. Our company has contributed to development of motorization in Japan and developing countries for more than fifty years.
We will face to this contradictory proposition and continue to provide safe and rational products with better quality than what customers expect in the new field.

- We observe the environment-related laws, regulations and requirements from the industry and customers and tackle environmental conservation with further efforts. We strive to continuously improve the items that give the impact upon environment and to prevent pollution caused by business activities within the framework of setting or reexamining environmental targets.
- We tackle especially the following items among what our business activities give impacts to the environment to preserve the environment and to prevent pollution.
①Promote recycling by separating waste.
②Reduce NG rate and promote reduction of material and energy.
③Promote environment-friendly products by stopping using toxic substances.
④Contribute to customers and environmental conservation through an effort to be creative and original, improving technology and eliminating waste.
SDGs
Koritu is actively promoting activities together to
implement Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (the 2030 Agenda) is a set of international development goals from 2016 to 2030, which was adopted by the UN Sustainable Development Summit held in September 2015 building on the success of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
The 2030 Agenda listed “Sustainable Development Goals” consisting of 17 goals and 169 targets in order to eradicate poverty and realize a sustainable world. The SDGs are universal goals applicable, not only to developing countries but also developed countries, and pledge “Leave no one behind.” through the implementation process.
Japan makes utmost efforts to implement the 2030 Agenda with international community based on the concept of human security.

Our efforts to SDGs
01Reduction, creation and optimization of energy → Carbon Neutrality
We are all striving as one to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
- ■Reduction of 49% of CO2 emission by purchasing CO2 free electricity
- ■Promotion of energy and electricity saving (lighting a light within a required area, controlling temperature of air – conditioning thoroughly, installing electricity usage demand controller, etc.)
- ■Installing solar panels (will be completed in 2025)
- ■Efficient production activity through improvement of productivity and quality (improving activities in the workplace, NG rate reduction activities, small group activities for better production, etc.)
02Promote a safe and trusted workplace through work environment improvement
Our company is working to protect every worker’s safety and health, and to promote decent work.
- ■Improvement activities of work environment (installation of mist correctors to all facilities, safety patrol, fire preventive check, etc.)
- ■Creating safe environment by a whole company through RA activities
- ■Promoting our employees’ health (regular health check, vaccination against flu, special health check for those who must go on an overseas business trip, etc.)
03Ensure safety of infrastructure by security measures
We always keep in mind to organize highly reliable infrastructure with high quality.
- ■Strengthening information security (establishment and strengthening of rules, thorough management of information asset, thorough dissemination of internal rules, installing devices for security, etc.)
- ■Relocation of our plant for preparation in case of a disaster (The headquarter was relocated to the solid ground in 2011.)
04Promote reduction of waste by improvement of a defect rate
We strive to conserve finite resources and to reduce waste.
- ■Reduction of disposal of defective products by improvement of a defect rate (countermeasures for past troubles, installation of Pokayoke, regular meetings to reduce defective products, etc.)
- ■Reduction of waste by eliminating waste of resources (reduction of material, yield improvement, reduction of consumable tool cost and amount of cutting oil used, etc.)
- ■Improvement of recycling percentage by strict classification of waste (rigid・non-rigid plastic, reuse of polishing powder, life extension of water soluble oil, etc.)
